At Explore Kingdom, protecting your personal data is a responsibility we take seriously. When you create an account, we collect your first name, email address, and a securely encrypted password. When you browse the site, we may also collect basic usage data (pages visited, device type, general location) to improve our service. We do not collect payment information at this stage, as Explore Kingdom does not currently process payments.
We use your information to create and manage your account, allow you to save favourites and submit reviews, communicate important updates (such as email verification), and improve the overall experience of the platform. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Your account data is securely stored and managed through Supabase, our database and authentication provider, with encryption applied to sensitive information such as passwords. Transactional emails (such as verification emails) are sent via Resend. While our infrastructure providers may process data outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, we take reasonable steps to ensure data handling meets an adequate level of protection consistent with PDPL requirements.
We use minimal, essential cookies required to keep you logged in and to remember basic preferences (such as language selection). We do not currently use third-party advertising trackers. As our platform grows, any additional tracking technologies will be disclosed here in advance.
Reviews and ratings you submit on Explore Kingdom are visible publicly alongside your display name. Please avoid including sensitive personal information in public reviews. We are not responsible for personal data you choose to disclose voluntarily in public content.
Under the PDPL, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request corrections to inaccurate data, request deletion of your account and associated data, and withdraw consent for data processing at any time. We retain your account data for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required for legal or security purposes.
Explore Kingdom is intended for use by individuals aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Parents and guardians may use the platform on behalf of their families.
We may update this Privacy Policy as our platform grows or as legal requirements evolve. Material changes will be communicated through the platform. Continued use of Explore Kingdom after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
